The old oil painting is signed in the bottom right by Zwengauer (1810 - 1884), German landscape and mountain
landscape painter. Anton Zwengauer (1810 - 1884) was born in Munich, Bavaria. He was a pupil of Peter von
Cornelius and studied at the Munich Academy of Arts.
In 1835, King Maximilian II of Bavaria appointed him conservator of the Schleissheim Castle Picture Gallery
and in 1869 of the Royal Picture Gallery, 'Pinakothek'.
Zwengauer painted mainly mountain landscapes of Bavaria and southern Tyrol.
The oil painting adorns a beautiful gilded frame in pure gold leaf coeval with the work.
The antique painting and the gilded frame are professionally restored.

el pintor pinta magistralmente la puesta de sol, típica de sus cuadros.
El óleo antiguo está firmado en la parte inferior derecha por Zwengauer (1810 - 1884), paisajista y montañés alemán
paisajista alemán. Anton Zwengauer (1810 - 1884) nació en Múnich, Baviera. Fue alumno de Peter von
Cornelius y estudió en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Múnich.
En 1835, el rey Maximiliano II de Baviera le nombró conservador de la pinacoteca del castillo de Schleissheim
y en 1869 de la Pinacoteca Real.
Zwengauer pintó principalmente paisajes montañosos de Baviera y el sur del Tirol.
El óleo adorna un bello marco dorado en pan de oro puro coetáneo a la obra.
El cuadro antiguo y el marco dorado han sido restaurados por profesionales.
