An expressive drawing. Made with a felt-tip pen on paper. It has an original title given by the artist and a signature with his name.
The drawing shows an industrialized city landscape. The artist outlined the network of high voltage lines and pylons with fast, expressive lines. The composition coincides at the center, where all the lines meet at the black point on the horizon.
The subject of urbanization of the surrounding landscapes was perfectly emphasized thanks to the technique used - a dark and expressive marker, and the way of drawing with an expressive line.
Taszycki has created a whole series of works that impress with an outstanding sense of space and perspective. The artist conveyed the atmosphere in a modern, dynamic and sometimes disturbing way. Looking at the series of works by Taszycki as a whole, you can definitely notice their coherence in terms of subject matter, technique, form and climate, but each of the works is a different theme and this creates an amazing image of the artist's work. Some of his works were made in pencil technique - chiaroscuro, blurred city landscapes and urban portraits.
The picture is not a realistic representation of reality - the view has been processed, as it were 'passed' through the artist's mind. Taszycki drew linear tissue from the surrounding world, dynamizing the space. It is characterized by significant geometrization and simplification of forms, as well as linearism. The artist's intention was not to recreate reality, but to reflect the invisible feelings, moods and concepts that the author finds in the landscape view.
The work is part of the avant-garde art of the 20th century, rejecting the existing styles and creating its own world. The creators of avant-garde art did not imitate reality, but looked for their own, separate language of expression. In the 20th century, the artist became an interpreter of the world who, through art, searches for answers to questions that haunt him, and solves his own internal problems. The phenomenon of the avant-garde in art appeared around 1910 with the emergence of such trends as futurism, dadaism, cubism, etc.
The artistic setting emphasizes the collector's and modernist character of the work
