The artwork represents a very beautiful city view of Taormina, Sicily. The work was realized by Edoardo Tani (Tivoli, 1880 - Rome, 1948) an Italian painter, museologist and watercolorist. From Tivoli he moved to Rome, to attend the Academy of Fine Arts. At the age of fourteen at the school for tapestries of Erulo Eroli - who was president of the Association of Roman watercolor artists - he learned the art of dyeing wool, in all shades of colors, also applying to the weaving and restoration of the tapestry. He frequented Ettore Roesler Franz, Fausto Vagnetti, Dante Ricci and Onorato Carlandi who often went to Tivoli, where he had bought a house which he then sold to Ettore Roesler Franz. Edoardo Tani traveled to England and Spain and exhibited at the Royal Theater of Madrid and was particularly impressed by the English painting of the Romantic movement by William Turner, John Constable and Peter de Wint. This object is shipped from Italy. La obra representa una muy bella vista de la ciudad de Taormina, Sicilia. La obra fue realizada por Edoardo Tani (Tívoli, 1880 - Roma, 1948) pintor, museólogo y acuarelista italiano. De Tívoli se trasladó a Roma, para asistir a la Academia de Bellas Artes. A los catorce años, en la escuela de tapices de Erulo Eroli -que era presidente de la Asociación de Acuarelistas Romanos- aprendió el arte de teñir la lana, en todos los tonos de colores, aplicándose también al tejido y a la restauración del tapiz. Frecuentó a Ettore Roesler Franz, a Fausto Vagnetti, a Dante Ricci y a Onorato Carlandi, que iba a menudo a Tívoli, donde había comprado una casa que luego vendió a Ettore Roesler Franz.
