This is a beautiful antique William IV flame mahogany circular extending dining table attributed to Gillows and dating from Circa 1835 and a set of Vintage dining chairs dating from the late 20th C. In the manner of Gillows, the circular reeded table top has five outer leaves that can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion. The table is raised on a substantial central baluster column on a tripod base with large paw feet and recessed castors that give this table it's superb stability. The table can comfortably seat eight when extended and six when the top is retracted. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table, which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture, and a talking point with guests at meal times. The attribution to Gillows is based on a table Christies, London, The Glory of Gillows & Fine English Furniture, 16 September 2004, lot 63 which can also be seen illustrated in S.Stuart, Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, Vol I, p.338 (pl.392). The table in brown oak and impressed GILLOWS was made about 1850 and has an identical base to the table offered here. Provenance: C. Fredericks, 1972 C. All featurimg an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask. The items are not CITES pursuant. Esta es una hermosa mesa de comedor circular extensible de caoba de William IV atribuida a Gillows y que data de Circa 1835 y un conjunto de sillas de comedor Vintage que data de finales del siglo 20. A la manera de Gillows, el tablero de la mesa circular con lengüeta tiene cinco hojas exteriores que se pueden añadir o quitar según sea necesario para adaptarse a la ocasión. La mesa se eleva sobre una importante columna central de balaustres sobre una base de trípode con grandes patas y ruedas empotradas que dan a esta mesa su magnífica estabilidad. La mesa puede acoger cómodamente a ocho personas cuando está extendida y a seis cuando el tablero está recogido. No hay duda de la fina artesanía de esta hermosa mesa, que seguramente se convertirá en un tesoro de su mobiliario, y un punto de conversación con los invitados a la hora de comer. La mesa en roble marrón e impresa GILLOWS fue hecha alrededor de 1850 y tiene una base idéntica a la mesa ofrecida aquí. Procedencia: C. Fredericks, 1972 C.
