Vintage, industrial, metal and wood stool with seat back and adjustable swivel seat, from the 1960's.
This fantastic stool, features a round, wood, swivel seat and curved seat back, both of which have a teak-colored finish, and rests on a chrome-plated, tubular steel frame with 4 legs (see photos.)
Piece is in very good, original condition with light signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as patina of time, on the seat (see photo with 1 centime coin for perspective), seat back, edges and legs (see various photos.) The seat and seat back have been partially restored and waxed, and the legs only gently cleaned and polished, all with respect to the original patina of time. New, black, plastic feet tips have been added (see photos.)
The swivel mechanism functions very well, and the seat height ranges from 71 cm up to 81 cm (see various photos.)
The stool carries its original maker's mark, on the rear edge of the seat, " Meubles P. Trouvat, Chateauponsac, H.TE V.Y" (see photos.)
A great stool for an architect or artist, that would also work in any given industrial, vintage, rustic-contemporary, or mid-century space, be it a studio, loft, office, kitchen, bedroom or other.
Please note: All photos were taken in natural, outdoor light, so colors may vary based upon the angle in which they are viewed.
