This is a rare and fascinating porcelain barber's dish, dating back to the era of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, between the late 17th and early 18th centuries. This piece is a magnificent example of Chinese export porcelain, with a decoration that imitates the famous Japanese Imari style.

Decoration: The piece is finely hand-painted in a rich polychrome that combines underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze enamels of rusty orange (known as "iron red") and gold, a distinctive feature of the Chinese Imari style.
Motif: The design features a vibrant central floral bouquet with stylized flowers in blue, orange, and gold, surrounded by a band decorated with floral vine and foliage motifs.
