Barbizon (original French title ''La Forêt Barbizon'') is an original sanguine pencil drawing on ivory paper realized by the French artist Gustave Bourgogne (Veignè, 1888 - Paris, 1968). The work is in Excellent conditions. Beautiful impressionistic drawing realized in sanguine pencil depicting an avenue inside the Barbizon forest. The Barbizon Forest is a place of great historical and artistic interest. Already from the eighteenth century, many artists settled there. Then, in the Nineteenth century, a group of artists came together and founded an artistic movement there: the Barbizon School. Picasso also lived near the forest, taking inspiration from it and creating some dedicated works. This work has been realized by the French artist Gustave Bourgogne (Veignè, 1888 - Paris, 1968). Bourgogne has been the founder of an artistic movement called ''Musicalisme''. This movement includes four artistic styles: the Bleuisme, the Rapport de sons et de couleurs, the Musicalisation de l'Art by Charles Blanc Gatti and the Emotivisme by Vito Stracquadaini. The group of artists created the Association des Artistes Musicales, published its manifesto and started to exhibit in many European countries.

La obra está en excelentes condiciones. Hermoso dibujo impresionista realizado en lápiz de sangre que representa una avenida dentro del bosque de Barbizon. El bosque de Barbizon es un lugar de gran interés histórico y artístico. Ya desde el siglo XVIII, muchos artistas se establecieron allí.
