Julien Cohen turned his hand to antique furniture after stints in less-fulfilling professions, and thus Mes Découvertes was born. Travelling across the Asian continent with significant stop-offs in India and Hong Kong, Julien collected hundreds of antiques and a variety of vintage items. Mes Découvertes (which translates to ‘my discoveries’) concentrates on rediscovering an object’s purpose and use. At times Julien, with his forty years’ experience as an antique enthusiast, focuses on function and at other times he pays homage to form - all the while ensuring that his collection is packed full of unique and curious collectibles from across the seas and centuries.
